Our Verdict
This DaVinci Resolve course is a decent starting point, particularly for those new to video editing and the software itself. Though it provides an understanding of the UI and basic color correction techniques, its outdated content and minimal coverage of visual effects or sound editing leave room for improvement. The misleading description about mastering the art of video editing is not representative of the course's actual scope. The instructor could make better use of the course duration by merging redundant parts and addressing additional key features in further detail.
What We Liked
- Excellent for understanding DaVinci Resolve's UI
- Includes simple sample videos & basic workflow
- Helpful color correction section, ideal for beginners
Potential Drawbacks
- Outdated content; DR 15 & 16 used mostly
- Bonus material focuses on an entirely different software
- Lacks depth in visual effects & sound editing
- Repeats information unnecessarily and becomes monotonous
