Basics of Playing the Viola

In this course students will learn the basic skills to play the Viola. These skills include how to hold the viola, how to identify finger numbers, the difference between plucking and bowing, how to hold your bow, the names of the open strings, how to put your fingers on the string to create different notes, and reading notes on the music staff. By the end of this course, students will acquire the knowledge to begin learning a variety of pieces to play on the viola.
